Job Title: Remote Founding Full-Stack Engineer (100% Work From Home)

Location: Remote from Latin America
Position Type: Part-Time
Salary$5,000 – $7,000 USD/month ($60,000 – $84,000 USD annually) + Performance-based growth incentives + Equity opportunities for exceptional candidates.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, business hours, Eastern Time.

The Role
Our Client is seeking an entrepreneurial, highly motivated Founding Full-Stack Engineer to step into a core technical role and drive the development of their flagship AI platform. This is far from a standard, siloed software engineering position; as a founding engineer, the successful candidate will own the technical architecture from concept to deployment. Working shoulder-to-shoulder with the company founders, this role requires a strategic thinker who can ship features rapidly, evaluate system infrastructure, and establish foundational engineering standards. Exceptional performance in this role paves a direct path toward team leadership, CTO responsibilities, and meaningful equity participation.
Key Responsibilities

Full-Stack Development & Technical Architecture

  • Designs, develops, and maintains scalable, secure full-stack web applications from front-end user interfaces to back-end logic.

  • Owns the structural architecture of the platform, making decisive choices on tech stacks, database schemas, and integration parameters.

  • Builds, tests, and deploys high-impact features rapidly to sustain momentum in an agile, early-stage startup environment.

  • Troubleshoots technical debt, eliminates software bugs, optimizes query performance, and manages production-level infrastructure incidents.

Product Strategy & Engineering Governance

  • Collaborates directly with the executive founding team to translate complex business requirements into clean, scalable technical solutions.

  • Implements robust security protocols, data access controls, and industry-standard compliance parameters across the application layer.

  • Helps establish engineering processes, documentation structures, and code review standards to support the development team's scaling phase.

  • Joins strategic client alignment sessions occasionally to gather direct user feedback and refine product requirements.

Qualifications, Skills, and Key Competencies
Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 4+ years of professional software engineering experience (solid mid-level to senior capability) building and deploying live full-stack web applications.

  • Autonomous Execution: Proven track record of taking end-to-end ownership of software projects with minimal supervision from ideation to production.

  • Agile Adaptability: Highly comfortable working within a fast-moving startup ecosystem characterized by changing product priorities and fluid requirements.

  • Language: Professional working proficiency in English, featuring strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Problem-Solving: Elite analytical capability, with an instinct for diving into unfamiliar systems and learning new programming paradigms quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience acting as an early-stage founding engineer, lead developer, or technical architect.

  • Direct experience building AI-enabled products, managing large language model (LLM) prompts, or integrating machine learning APIs.

  • Advanced familiarity with cloud infrastructure deployment systems (AWS, GCP, Azure) and distributed application architectures.

  • A strong professional interest in stepping into executive leadership (CTO) or building out future engineering teams.
