Lead a High-Performing Remote Technician Team

As a Field Service Dispatch Manager, your primary responsibility is to lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians You will set expectations, coach performance, address issues in real time, and ensure your team delivers high-quality work on schedule.

You will also manage day-to-day maintenance operations - assigning work orders, prioritizing urgent requests, and coordinating communication with technicians, residents, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Performance Management

  • Set daily expectations for technician routes, communication, documentation, and professionalism
  • Provide direct, real-time coaching to improve technician performance
  • Address delays, missed appointments, incomplete notes/photos, and communication issues promptly
  • Document performance concerns and partner with leadership on corrective action when needed

Dispatching & Operations

  • Assign work orders based on technician skills, geography, and priority
  • Monitor technician progress throughout the day and adjust routing as needed
  • Communicate proactively with residents regarding scheduling, updates, and expectations
  • Review technician notes, materials, and time entries before approving or closing work orders
  • Track KPIs such as completion times, documentation quality, and schedule accuracy
  • Collaborate with maintenance leadership to resolve conflicts and support operational improvements

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in dispatching, scheduling, field service coordination, or maintenance operations
  • 3+ years (5 preferred) of people management experience in a performance-driven role
  • Proven ability to manage and dispatch 3-5 technicians simultaneously while holding them accountable
  • Strong understanding of maintenance operations, repair timelines, and technician skill alignment
  • Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Reliable high-speed internet (50-100 Mbps), dual monitors, and camera/microphone

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with awork order/field service management system
  • Experience coordinating high-volume work orders
  • Experience working with KPIs, and Performance dashboards
  • Experience in a customer service-oriented role
