Position: Remote Engineering Technician ( 100% Remote)

Our client is a leading consulting firm specializing in the energy industry, with a primary focus on oil and gas. Their team of experts provides innovative solutions to US-based clients, helping them evaluate new investment opportunities and assisting their team with initiatives that drive growth.

They are committed to delivering excellence in energy consulting, and they are seeking a dedicated Engineering Technician to join their dynamic team.

We are looking for an Engineering Technician to support our consulting services in the energy industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a STEM field, with a preference for candidates with engineering knowledge. However, individuals from related fields with a passion for the energy industry are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct data analysis and provide technical support using standard tools such as Microsoft Excel, Spotfire, and PowerBI.

- Collaborate with engineers and analysts to collect, process, and interpret technical data related to the oil and gas industry.

- Learn and adapt to new software and tools quickly to support project requirements.

- Prepare clear and concise technical reports, documents, and presentations.

- Assist in the development and execution of engineering studies and research projects.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical problems.

- Perform data entry, validation, and quality assurance tasks.

- Assist in programming tasks, if applicable, to support data analysis and automation (programming experience is a plus but not required).

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to contribute to the team's technical expertise.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Engineering preferred but not required).

- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Spotfire, and PowerBI.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in clear and concise English.

- Ability to learn and adapt to new software and tools quickly.

- Programming experience is a plus but not required.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

- Enthusiasm for the energy industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

- Must be organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

- Experience in the oil & gas industry is preferred but not required

Internet and Technical Requirements:

- **High-Speed Internet:** The candidate is required to have access to a reliable high-speed internet connection to support remote work responsibilities. They must be able to demonstrate their internet speed and reliability through a network test.

- **Personal Computer:** The candidate must have access to a capable personal computer meeting the following specifications:

- Operating System: Windows 10 Pro

- RAM: At least 8 GB

- Adequate processing power and storage to handle data analysis tasks.

- **Backup Laptop:** It is mandatory for the candidate to have a backup laptop available in case of technical issues with their primary workstation. This backup laptop should also meet the above-mentioned technical requirements.

**Communication:** The candidate must maintain open and reliable communication channels with the team and supervisors during working hours. Regular check-ins and virtual meetings may be required.

**Availability:** The candidate should be available during working hours for immediate communication and collaboration with team members, as needed.

These working logistics are essential to ensure the candidate's ability to perform their duties effectively in a remote work environment and maintain seamless communication and productivity.

Salary: $3,000/month

Schedule: 9am - 6pm (Central time US) with a 1 hr lunch
