Caterpillar is seeking an experienced IT Analyst to serve as an onsite technical analyst for the Peoria Proving Ground (PPG), one of Caterpillar's largest outdoor machine testing and customer demonstration facilities.
This position requires a highly capable infrastructure professional who can operate independently across networking, wireless communications, systems administration, cybersecurity, vendor coordination, project delivery, and business relationship management. The successful candidate will partner closely with engineering, operations, facility leadership, autonomous machine teams, and enterprise IT organizations to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable technology solutions across a large outdoor proving-ground environment.
Unlike a traditional facility support role, this position combines hands-on technical execution with strategic IT leadership responsibilities supporting machine connectivity, customer demonstrations, autonomous technologies, private wireless infrastructure, facility modernization initiatives, and business-critical operational systems.
