Job Title: Remote Bookkeeper (100% Work From Home)

Location: Remote from Latin America

Position Type: Full-time

Salary $1,700 to $2,000 USD/monthly

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM US Eastern Time (EST) (Includes a lunch break). Must be strictly available during US business hours.

Our Client is an established, high-integrity US-based CPA firm managing robust accounting, bookkeeping, and tax compliance operations for a diverse portfolio of business accounts. While the firm serves standard industries, a significant portion of their client base operates within the rapidly growing, highly regulated US cannabis sector. Our Client prioritizes meticulous financial hygiene, absolute accuracy, and close, professional relationships with the businesses they serve.

The Role

Our Client is seeking a highly detailed, dependable, and communicative Senior Full Charge Bookkeeper to own the day-to-day books for multiple client accounts. This is a sophisticated, core bookkeeping role that sits heavily within legacy and modern software systems. The vast majority of the firm's clients rely on QuickBooks Desktop, making advanced, standalone proficiency in QB Desktop non-negotiable. This position is ideal for an accountant who understands financial records from start to finish and can manually trace, input, and reconcile data without relying purely on automated bank feeds.

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Bookkeeping & Data Architecture

  • Manages full charge bookkeeping cycles for a diverse portfolio of multi-industry US businesses.

  • Manages manual transaction data entry directly into bank, check, and credit card registers working straight from physical or digital statements.

  • Executes batch transaction entries and coordinates structured file imports when client system credentials are available.

  • Applies rigorous month-end close workflows, processing adjusting journal entries, general ledger reviews, and identifying systemic balance discrepancies.

Reconciliations & Payroll Compliance

  • Performs meticulous bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure match verification with underlying financial statements.

  • Processes and properly journalizes complex US payroll allocations and tax entries into QuickBooks.

  • Generates, reviews, and reviews preliminary corporate financial statements for absolute accuracy and structural completeness.

Client Consultation & Communication

  • Serves as an articulate, direct point of contact for business owners, managing ongoing email correspondence.

  • Conducts occasional professional phone consultations and active video alignment meetings via Zoom to address accounting questions.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years of dedicated professional experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper.

  • US Accounting Stature: Proven track record working directly with US-based businesses and an airtight comprehension of US bookkeeping rules and accounting procedures.

  • QuickBooks Desktop Mastery: Advanced, expert-level proficiency inside QuickBooks Desktop is mandatory. Candidates must know the system's manual ledger architecture inside out.

  • QuickBooks Online Experience: Working familiarity and operational experience with QuickBooks Online configurations.

  • Language: Superior written and spoken English communication skills; comfortable hosting client-facing video assessments.

  • Testing Discipline: A relentless eye for detail and an absolute commitment to reviewing data variables carefully before delivery.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Functional experience with QuickBooks class tracking methods.

  • A proven professional background specialized in executing historical cleanups on complex, messy sets of books.

  • Experience or familiarity within the accounting parameters of the US cannabis industry (Note: Not required; specialized industry training will be fully provided by the firm).

  • Natural ability to navigate ambiguous data files independently and solve bookkeeping blockers systematically.
