Job Title: Remote Assistant Project Manager (100% Work From Home)

Location: Remote from Latin America

Position Type: Full-time

Salary $1,800 – $2,500 USD/month

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM EST; Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM EST

Our Client is seeking a highly organized and technical Assistant Project Manager to support the management of administrative and technical requirements for construction projects. This role serves as a vital bridge between preconstruction, active operations, and project close-out. The successful candidate will assist the Project Manager in maintaining financial health, scheduling accuracy, and subcontractor compliance to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Preconstruction & Financial Support

  • Assists in determining necessary resources (personnel, tools, and materials) and collaborates on the project organization matrix.

  • Supports preconstruction services in preparing and monitoring cost reports and creating project budgets.

  • Prepares bid packages and subcontract scopes of work; manages subcontractor pre-work meetings and maintains minutes.

  • Confirms compliance with owner contracts, including insurance, permits, and Performance/Payment bonds.

Project Administration & Operations

  • Manages the processing of submittals and RFIs, taking ownership of complex trades to maintain project momentum.

  • Establishes clear communication tools with subcontractors and suppliers to verify the timely delivery of all materials and equipment.

  • Checks compliance with plans and specifications, reviewing constructability issues with the Project Manager and Superintendent.

  • Conducts time impact analysis for change proposals and coordinates bi-weekly progress schedule updates.

Project Close-out & Relationship Management

  • Facilitates the project close-out process by confirming outstanding financial matters with vendors and subcontractors.

  • Manages final close-out documentation and transitions project statuses in the ERP system.

  • Builds and maintains effective relationships with customers, design teams, and user groups that reflect the company’s core values.

Qualifications, Skills, and Key Competencies


Required Qualifications

  • Education: BS in Construction Management, Engineering, or a minimum of 8 years of direct field experience leading construction projects.

  • Experience: 4 to 7 years of related experience in leadership positions within the construction industry.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), and estimating software such as OnScreen Takeoff or Stack.

  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to solve problems, motivate teams, and face challenges with a results-oriented mindset.

  • Compliance: Strong understanding of contract administration, including NTOs, Lien Releases, and risk management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of specific preconstruction experience.

  • Experience with specialized ERP systems for construction management.

  • Proven track record in managing "Time Impact Analysis" for change proposals.
