As they prepare to scale their infrastructure by an order of magnitude, they are transitioning into a high-growth phase that requires robust, production-grade AI systems. Our Client operates with a remote-first, high-performance culture where engineers are expected to lead through outcomes rather than be managed through rigid specs.
Our Client is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to own the backend and AI systems powering their revenue management platform. This is a high-impact, individual contributor role focused on shipping code, ensuring system reliability, and maintaining production AI at scale. The successful candidate will be responsible for building the infrastructure necessary to move from 4,000 listings to tens of thousands. This position offers a direct path to leading the AI engineering function as the team and scope expand.
AI Infrastructure & Orchestration
Manages async workflow orchestration using Temporal.io or equivalent systems.
Implements observability, instrumentation, and alerting frameworks to ensure 24/7 reliability.
Owns error handling, retries, idempotency, and queue management for complex AI workloads.
Performs bug triage and resolution under high-load production environments.
AI Security & Model Management
Designs and implements defenses against prompt injection and abuse.
Manages secrets, credentials, and access control for sensitive guest, owner, and property data.
Oversees vendor API key management (e.g., PriceLabs) and coordinates model selection.
Optimizes cost management across various LLM providers (Anthropic, OpenAI).
Full-Stack Technical Execution
Develops and maintains REST and async APIs using Postgres
Designs prompts and tools for LLM integration.
Handles front-end touchpoints using React + Vite, React Router 7, and Tailwind v4.
Iterates rapidly, shipping v1 prototypes and refining based on production feedback.
Production AI Experience: Must have shipped at least one AI product to real users; experience must include owning cost, latency, and post-launch maintenance. (Demos/Notebooks do not qualify).
Engineering Background: 5+ years of backend or full-stack production experience.
Technical Mastery: Fluent with modern AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code) and comfortable in Mac/Linux environments.
Eval Discipline: Proven ability to validate AI outputs against ground truth rather than subjective impressions.
Soft Skills: Strong written English and fluency in asynchronous, remote-first communication.
Ownership: A "prototype-first" mindset with the ability to set up alerts and triage issues without prompting.
Graduates from top LATAM technical programs (e.g., ITAM, Tec de Monterrey, UNAM, Universidad de los Andes, ITBA, PUC-Chile).
Experience with Temporal.io for workflow orchestration.
