Jefferson Healthcare is looking for a critically thinking, thorough, customer service minded individual to join our Patient Engagement Center as an Access Center Specialist (Care Team Specialist II) in our patient access call center.
The Access Center Specialists in our call center are important liaisons between the medical care team and the patients. The role of a Care Team Specialist is both dynamic and engaging within the healthcare sector. This position involves interacting with diverse individuals calling in to our primary and specialty clinics, gathering essential information, assisting patients with scheduling and navigation, and supplying clinical teams with the necessary information to deliver high-quality care. Attention to detail, critical thinking, and a customer service mindset are essential to ensuring that patients have a smooth and successful healthcare experience.
The ideal candidate will have experience working remotely and experience with medical office reception or dispatching. They will also have strong communication skills, be organized and detail-oriented, and have a passion for helping others. Responsibilities include taking patient calls, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and communicating with clinical care teams. The ability to multitask and handle patient inquiries with sensitivity and professionalism is a must. Schedule: 1.0 FTE; 40 hours/week, Day shift (8-hour shifts); no weekends!
