We’re Hiring: Relief Security Officer

📍 Location: Swindon

💰 Pay: £13.45 per hour

📅 Hours: 36 hours per week

🕒 Shifts: 12-hour shifts (Days & Nights)

Grade: 3.2 Relief

To provide professional security services as a Mobile Security Officer across multiple sites within a designated geographical area, ensuring the safety and protection of client personnel, property, and assets at all times. The role requires the Mobile Security Officer to adhere to assignment instructions and site-specific requirements while delivering exceptional customer service. Mobile Security Officers must consistently demonstrate Securitas' core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness. Please note that candidates must hold a valid SIA licence prior to commencing employment and be available to work operational shifts as required.

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

Protection of Property & Premises

• As a Security Officer, monitor site access, alarms, CCTV, and conduct security patrols.
• Carry out keyholding, site checks, and maintain security records.
• The Security Officer will issue passes, manage equipment, and respond to incidents.
• Deal with lost property and ensure site security procedures are followed.

Health & Safety

• The Security Officer will promote a safe environment for staff, visitors, and contractors.
• Report hazards, accidents, and ensure emergency routes remain clear.
• Monitor and report any First Aid equipment usage or shortages.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:

• Valid SIA Licence.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Aged 18 or over.
• 5-year checkable employment/education history or additional documents to cover.
• No unspent criminal convictions.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own transport preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, professional, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Flexible to work days, nights, and weekends.
• Demonstrates Securitas values: Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.

Desirable

• Previous Security Officer experience.
• First Aid qualification.
