We are currently seeking a professional and adaptable Relief Security Officer to join our team, delivering high-quality security services across a variety of sites within a defined geographical area. This is a dynamic role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety in their day-to-day duties, and is committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers, employees, and assets🛡️

As a Relief Security Officer, you will play a key role in upholding the highest standards of customer service while demonstrating integrity, vigilance, and helpfulness at all times. Working in line with assignment instructions and site-specific requirements, you will be responsible for protecting premises, preventing unauthorised access, and ensuring all security procedures are followed effectively. A valid SIA licence is essential to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site. Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate
• Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate
• Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions
• Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

• A valid SIA licence
• Flexibility to work days, nights and weekends
• Flexible to provide support on multiple sites across London
• The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history
• Great customer service
• Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken
