The processing and packaging of food products requires flexibility on the part of all personnel as operations change depending upon the needs of the customer. This will require a Nutritional Relief Operator to train and work on all equipment in the department on a periodic basis in order to ensure customer requirements are met in a timely manner.

High school diploma or 3 years experience in similar position.
Understand and follow all environmental, safety, quality, and legal regulations for the area in which they work.
Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence. Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Perform basic mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Perform simple mathematical analysis using the units of money, weight, volume, and distance.
Apply common sense and be able to follow supervisory instruction and plant policies and procedures. Solve standardized problems with few or no variables. Use learned experience to solve more detailed and complex problems.
Ability to be forklift certified required.
Ability to wear respiratory protection.

The employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Employees working in this position will be required to follow Red Star Yeast’s facial hair policy. This is due to requirement of this position to wear respiratory protection.
