Do you love books, information and have a passion to support people to read for pleasure to improve their wellbeing?  Can you demonstrate an understanding of public library services and the vital role they play in enriching and supporting our communities?

We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, and resilient person to join our Library team as a zero-hour Variable Relief Library Assistant, primarily for holiday and sickness cover. This role requires flexibility to cover all operating hours at Trowbridge and Bradford-On-Avon Libraries, including evenings until 7pm (weekdays) and Saturdays.

As a Relief Library Assistant, you will assist customers with queries, help them to find books and information, and support them with IT. You will help keep the library looking attractive by shelving, displays and promoting our stock and resources.

Public library experience is not essential as we will train you in all aspects of library work.
