Job Description

The Job Responsibilities are as follows:

  • Providing quality food service and ensuring individuals receive high quality nutritious foods according to their dietary plan or prescribed diet.
  • Adhering to the Alberta Health Standards Food Retail and Foodservices Code and Alberta Health Standards and Serving Safer Food Guide at all times.
  • Strive to uphold a safe working environment and be Health and Safety conscious and actively involved in maintaining and improving a safe work environment.
  • Assisting with all catering functions.
  • Liaising with immediate supervisor, to inform, consult, and problem-solve regarding any serious problems/concerns encountered in providing service.
  • Ensuring the surrounding area is kept clean and maintained according to procedures with the Food Services Administrator.
  • Taking a proactive role in problem solving processes.
  • Ensuring all required information is exchanged between staff members during shift exchange.
  • Receiving and verifying delivery invoices.
  • Labelling and rotating of product.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from a Culinary Arts Program from a recognized institution, be a registered apprentice, an Alberta-certified journeyperson, hold a valid recognized credential, or 2 years related experience.
  • Maintain certification in First Aid & CPR.
  • Satisfactory current criminal record check with vulnerable sector
