Job Description

The Ventura Operations team is seeking to fill a Reliability Specialist (RS) position. The RS will be operating and maintaining equipment associated with the Ventura Processes: Vessels, Pumps, Filters, Induced Static Floatation Cells, Tanks, pumping units, producing wells, injection wells, idle wells, Gas Plant 6, Gas Plant 7, gas collection and compression equipment, etc. This includes data entry/management into SAP, LEGO, XSPOC and Ignition. Schedule is a 9/80 daylight with weekend rotation.

The hourly pay range for this posted position is expected to be from $40.42 - $49.35, with a target annual bonus of 10% of base compensation. Individual pay decisions are based on several factors, including education, experience level and relevant industry experience. Responsibilities:

  • Collecting and analyzing performance data from the above-mentioned processes to improve process performance.
  • Ability to interpret trends and make process changes in a timely manner
  • Perform front-line maintenance activities and PM's to support equipment reliability.
  • Maintain pumps, pumping units and other types of oil field equipment to ensure production goals are met
  • Ensure HSE/Title V compliance is being met at all times.
  • Maintain a high level of integrity to ensure we are meeting our HSE goals and targets
  • Interfacing with customers/suppliers to ensure Team and CRC goals are being satisfied.
  • Act as a leader in the field, ensuring that safe production is a priority
  • Identify opportunities and initiate plans for improvement of the facilities and wells processes.
  • Continuous Improvement mindset is essential
  • Guarantee all CRC policies and procedures are being met.
  • Good communication with your leader is essential to understanding what the expectations of your role are
  • Clearly and timely communicate operational "issues / concerns" to customers and other Team members.
  • Through good communication and cooperation, foster a “we are all one team” mindset
  • Prepare job plans and work requests through SAP to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Monitor all work being done in your respective areas
  • Ensure equipment is clean, neat and in good working order.
  • A strong sense of ownership is necessary to ensure that equipment is being cared for
  • Attend and participate in Process team meetings.
  • Be an active participant in all meetings

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • Valid Class C California Driver’s License required

Physical Qualifications:

  • Ability to stoop, stand, walk, pull, carry instruments, and climb stairs and ladders for extended period.
  • Ability to lift, carry and pull up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work overhead for extended periods of time

  • Ability to perform fine manipulations with hands and fingers

  • Regular bending, crouching, pulling and kneeling to check equipment and gauges

  • Ability to work significant amounts of time as required in completing job responsibilities

  • Working environment includes exposure to extremely loud noises in field, hazardous Chemicals, and Hydrocarbons that may be under extreme pressure for which appropriate safety measures are required
