Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Reliability Specialist to develop and lead the reliability program at a manufacturing facility in Morristown, Tennessee. This role is critical to improving the reliability, maintainability, and overall performance of plant equipment, systems, and processes. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate about driving operational excellence through proactive maintenance strategies, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and develop the facility reliability program to support safe, efficient, and compliant plant operations
• Partner with Maintenance, Production, and Engineering teams to improve reliability and maintainability of new and existing equipment
• Drive reliability and failure elimination initiatives related to production equipment, utilities, controls, and safety systems
• Define, implement, monitor, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
• Utilize predictive maintenance technologies and non-destructive testing methodologies to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime
• Analyze repetitive equipment failures and implement sustainable corrective actions impacting production, quality, costs, and compliance
• Provide technical troubleshooting support for routine and urgent equipment-related issues
• Develop and implement maintenance training programs to strengthen team capabilities and technical knowledge
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, reliability, and equipment lifecycle performance
• Collaborate closely with plant leadership to improve maintenance effectiveness and overall plant reliability metrics

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related Engineering discipline preferred
• 2–4 years of experience in a Reliability Engineer or Reliability Specialist role within a manufacturing environment
• Previous maintenance leadership or hands-on maintenance experience as a Manager, Supervisor, or Technician strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and reliability-centered maintenance principles
• Experience troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical equipment issues
• Proven ability to analyze equipment failures and implement long-term corrective actions
• Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities
• Detail-oriented with a strong continuous improvement mindset
• Willingness to work hands-on in the plant alongside mechanics and operators, including responding to critical equipment issues as needed
