QA Automation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team and drive quality engineering excellence across enterprise digital solutions. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on expertise in Robot Framework, Python-based automation, API and backend testing, and CI/CD practices. This role will play a key part in advancing automation capabilities across the testing lifecycle, leveraging Gen AI to accelerate test design, test data creation, automation script development and optimization, defect analysis, and continuous improvement of test effectiveness and maintainability, while ensuring adherence to quality, compliance, and security standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain scalable automated test suites using Robot Framework, with a focus on reliability, reusability, maintainability, and seamless integration into CI/CD pipelines.
• Write and maintain Python scripts for automation tasks, ensuring robust and scalable test processes.
• Maintain and continuously improve automated tests to ensure they remain effective and up to date with the latest application changes and requirements.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, business analysts, and cross-functional QA teams to define test requirements, design automation strategies, review risks, and ensure test coverage is aligned with business priorities and release objectives.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of all phases of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), including test planning, test design, test execution, defect logging, defect tracking, and closure.
• Identify, document, and track software defects and issues, ensuring they are resolved promptly and effectively.
• Continuously evaluate and apply modern QA tools, automation practices, and AI-assisted testing approaches to improve test coverage, reduce manual effort, increase delivery speed, and strengthen overall product quality.
• Apply Gen AI tools and prompt engineering techniques to accelerate test design, generate and optimize automation scripts, support test data creation, summarize defects and execution results, and identify opportunities to improve automation quality, maintainability, and delivery efficiency.
• Use Gen AI responsibly by validating generated outputs, protecting confidential data, following company-approved tools and policies, and applying human review before incorporating AI-generated test assets into delivery pipelines.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technology discipline.
• A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience as an automation quality assurance engineer in a reputable organization.
• Proficiency in the Robot Framework and Selenium for automated testing.
• Strong knowledge of Python for writing and maintaining automation scripts.
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, especially GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., GitHub).
• Experience with API, backend, and integration testing, including validation of service contracts, data flows, error handling, and system-to-system reliability.
• Solid understanding of SDLC processes.
• Hands-on experience using Gen AI tools for QA activities, including prompt engineering, test scenario generation, automation script creation or refactoring, test data support, defect summarization, and validation of AI-generated outputs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams.
• Ability to adapt to new tools and methodologies to enhance testing efficiency.
• Experience working in Agile Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall delivery models.

Preferred

• Experience in the Pharmaceutical or Healthcare domain.
• Expertise in API testing to ensure integration reliability and performance.
• Experience in mobile testing across various devices and platforms.
• Understanding of SQL (Structured Query Language).
• Experience with test management tools like JIRA XRAY.
• Familiarity with enterprise Gen AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, GPT-based assistants, or similar technologies, with an understanding of how they can support QA automation, documentation, analysis, and productivity improvements.
