As a Reliability Coater Manager, you will provide strategic leadership for the maintenance and reliability of critical coating line assets, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations. You will play a key role in maximising equipment availability, improving operational performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that create value for the business, customers, and manufacturing operations.

Our Team

You will join a collaborative manufacturing team responsible for delivering operational excellence across coating operations. Working closely with Operations, Engineering, EHS, Quality, and Production teams, you will help drive reliability improvements, optimise asset performance, and support the site's long-term growth and strategic objectives.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the reliability and maintenance strategy for critical coating line assets to improve equipment availability and operational performance.
  • Create value through proactive maintenance programmes, reliability initiatives, and data-driven decision making.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Develop and mentor maintenance professionals while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
  • Drive root cause analysis and long-term corrective actions that reduce unplanned downtime and improve asset reliability.
  • Lead shutdowns, turnarounds, and major maintenance activities to enable safe and effective execution of business priorities.
  • Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and commissioning activities that strengthen operational capability and future growth.
  • Champion safety, environmental stewardship, and compliance while promoting a zero-incident mindset across the maintenance organisation.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience leading maintenance and reliability activities within an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing maintenance teams, contractors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience developing and executing preventive and predictive maintenance programmes.
  • Experience utilising CMMS systems for maintenance planning, work management, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of reliability engineering principles, root cause analysis methodologies, and asset management practices.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Background supporting coating lines, metal processing, steel manufacturing, or continuous process operations.
  • Knowledge of motors and drives, PLC/DCS systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
  • Proficiency with SAP PM or other advanced CMMS platforms.
  • Demonstrated success leading shutdowns, turnarounds, and reliability improvement projects.
  • Success driving Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Track record of managing maintenance budgets and executing capital improvement projects.
  • Maintenance leadership experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Industrial maintenance expertise supporting reliability and asset performance objectives.
