
Function:
Engineering and Engineering ServicesYou will report directly to the Rotating Equipment and Reliability Supervisor to provide on-site reliability engineering expertise and technical support for rotating equipment, enhancing the reliability department's effectiveness. You will lead the site’s reliability program, identifying areas for equipment and process improvements. You will enhance safe, efficient, reliable, and environmentally friendly operations by collaborating with other engineering disciplines, operations, maintenance, and EHS to ensure solutions meet our goals.
You will report directly to the Rotating Equipment and Reliability Supervisor to provide on-site reliability engineering expertise and technical support for rotating equipment, enhancing the reliability department's effectiveness. You will lead the site’s reliability program, identifying areas for equipment and process improvements. You will enhance safe, efficient, reliable, and environmentally friendly operations by collaborating with other engineering disciplines, operations, maintenance, and EHS to ensure solutions meet our goals.
You will:
Identify equipment failure trends by tracking MTBFs using reliability data and interactions with Operations & Maintenance teams
Develop and maintain the site’s 5-year reliability plan
Interpret reliability data and guide failure mitigation/reliability improvement plans
Collaborate alongside the Maintenance team on repair planning for critical equipment failures
Lead root cause failure analysis on major equipment failures and manage improvement action items.
Develop and implement new maintenance procedures and monitor the effectiveness of improvement initiatives
Perform equipment criticality analysis and ensure adequate spare parts for all critical assets
Support preventative/predictive/condition-based monitoring programs for critical assets
Support capital projects to ensure proper equipment selection and installation
Complete minor projects related to equipment or process changes for improved asset reliability
Manage incident investigation and action item deadlines
Update and manage the site’s CMMS equipment and material data to ensure compliance with CF criteria
Collaborate with other departments to ensure reliability is integrated into our organization
Support Turnaround activities
Lead Management of Change for changes related to Reliability or Maintenance improvements
Support and participate in all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs and activities; Promote EH&S programs and ensure compliance towards a zero-incident worksite
Demonstrates leadership visibility, ensuring actions continually reinforce continuous improvement
Support technical evaluations of existing equipment, monitor performance, investigate problems as required, and collaborate on improvements for machinery repairs and overhauls

IV. Incumbent Attributes:
BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical)
Previous rotating equipment exposure in a continuous chemical production or refinery environment will be an asset
3 years’ minimum experience within a chemical manufacturing, refining, or oil and gas industry
Experience in reliability-centered maintenance, failure analysis, and root cause investigations.
Willingness to work alternative schedules on a short-term basis

Salary
The estimated base pay for this position is typically between $121,100.00 and $ 152,700.00. The actual base pay for the position may be influenced by factors such as education, training, skills, qualifications, competencies, years of experience, job-related knowledge, and the scope of the role, and may be outside the posted pay range.
