Job Description

As the Release Train Engineer (RTE) for our Payments and Cards division, you will lead the Agile Release Train (ART) to ensure seamless delivery of payment solutions.

Your role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, facilitating key Agile ceremonies, and driving continuous improvement to meet our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate ART Events: Organize and lead Program Increment (PI) Planning sessions, Scrum of Scrums, Inspect & Adapt and other essential ART ceremonies to ensure alignment and collaboration among teams.
  • Coach and Mentor: Guide leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Manage Program Execution: Oversee the progress of the ART, ensuring that deliverables are met on time and align with the organization's goals.
  • Risk and Dependency Management: Identify, address, and mitigate risks and dependencies that may impede the ART's progress.
  • Continuous Improvement: Encourage teams to reflect on their processes, identify areas for enhancement, and implement changes to optimize performance.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience as an RTE or in a similar leadership role within the Payments and Cards industry.
  • Agile Expertise: Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, with experience in applying them at scale.
  • Certifications: SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification SAFe RTE (v5 or v6).
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead without authority, facilitate consensus, and drive teams toward common goals.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with a talent for conveying complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Experience in the Payments and Cards sector, with a solid understanding of industry-specific challenges and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and other Agile lifecycle management tools.
