As a Release Train Engineer within our Agile SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment, you will be responsible for facilitating and managing the successful delivery of our software products, ensuring alignment with our business strategy, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across teams. By combining a thorough understanding of software engineering principles with strong management abilities, the Software Engineering Manager drives innovation, team unity, and technical excellence. Role & Responsibility

• Agile Leadership: Serve as a servant leader and coach for Agile teams, driving SAFe practices and principles across the ART, supporting teams in the identification and removal of bottlenecks, and resolving escalated impediments.
• Manage Agile Release Train (ART): Support the Agile Release Train framework by supporting/facilitating the PI (Program Increment) planning sessions, sprint iteration demos, retrospectives, and Scrum of Scrums to ensure coordination across multiple teams. Manage the Digital delivery portfolio and associated ceremonies globally.
• Metrics & Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the ART, regulary track progress, and report status to leadership and stakeholders. Ensure with business objectives.
• Program Management: Oversee and track program-level execution, helping teams and ART deliver high-quality software solutions on time and within scope. Provide visibility into progress, metrics, and roadblocks. Support development of the Bobcat Digital annual operating plan providing forecasts and estimates. Provide effort and time estimates for new business initiatives. Forecast and manage delivery team right sizing, working with both Digital and supplier labor providers.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with Product Managers, Solution Architects, product owners, scrum masters, business stakeholders, and other ART stakeholders to align on goals, expectations, and dependencies. Foster a collaborative environment to ensure that all teams work in sync.
• Risk Management: Identify risks and dependencies early, and work with teams to create mitigation strategies. Escalate risks as necessary and proactively address program-level challenges.
• Mentorship & Coaching: Mentor Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and team leads in Agile best practices and SAFe principles. Build a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Continuous Improvement: Establish best practices for ART in retrospectives and process improvements. Continuously assess the effectiveness of agile practices and work to evolve them within the ART context to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Regularly interact with business and technical stakeholders to understand business needs, ensure delivery alignment with strategic goals, and manage expectations.

Job Requirement

• Proven Experience: Minimum of 7+ years in software engineering and management roles, with at least 3+ years of experience as a Release Train Engineer or similar role in a SAFe/Agile environment.
• Agile Expertise: Deep understanding and practical experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, XP), and SAFe framework.
• Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering software solutions.
• Technical Background: Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), modern engineering practices, and technologies. Experience in cloud technologies, microservices architecture, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
• Problem Solving & Decision Making: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong ability to make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Collaboration & Teamwork: Ability to foster a collaborative, high-performance culture. Proven experience in working across teams and departments, managing dependencies, and aligning common goals.

The salary range for this position is Minimum Pay: $134,673.00 - Maximum Pay: $202,010.00 depending on experience and other factors.
