About the Role

We are seeking a highly driven Release Train Engineer to lead delivery execution, release governance, and agile practices across our global mobile engineering organisation.

This role is responsible for driving predictable delivery across multiple Agile teams while owning the end-to-end release governance and management process for our iOS and Android applications. You will act as the central coordination point between Engineering, Product, QA, and external delivery partners to ensure the successful planning, execution, and release of customer-facing mobile products.

Leading a team of Scrum Masters and Release QA professionals, you will oversee delivery health across teams located in Singapore, Poland, the United Kingdom, and Dubai. Success in this role requires a strong blend of programme leadership, release management expertise, stakeholder management, and a practical understanding of mobile application release processes, including Apple App Store and Google Play Store deployments.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead & facilitate Program Increment (PI) planning, quarterly planning activities, and major cross-team delivery initiatives.
  • Drive alignment and execution across multiple Agile teams distributed across the globe.
  • Coordinate dependencies across teams and other ARTs.
  • Lead and facilitate Agile Health Checks, helping teams assess their effectiveness, identify improvement opportunities, and track progress over time.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by leading and facilitating improvement initiatives, and ensuring learnings are translated into actionable outcomes.
  • Proactively manage delivery risks, dependencies, impediments, and escalations to ensure successful programme outcomes.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and visibility on programme health, delivery progress, release readiness, and key risks.
  • Establish and track delivery metrics such as predictability, velocity trends, release quality, release frequency, and defect trends.
  • Partner closely with Engineering Managers, Product Owners, Principal Engineers, QA Leads, and senior stakeholders to ensure aligned priorities and successful delivery.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Scrum Masters through the Scrum Master Community of Practice (CoP), while driving consistency, continuous improvement, and excellence in Agile practices across teams.
  • Own and govern the end-to-end release management lifecycle for all mobile applications across iOS and Android.
  • Manage the release calendar, release readiness reviews, Go/No-Go decisions, production deployments, and post-release activities.
  • Coordinate and govern releases to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, including phased rollouts, emergency fixes, and release communications.
  • Continuously improve delivery processes, release governance, operational excellence, and Agile maturity across the organization.
  • Govern delivery commitments, release readiness, planning participation, and cross-team dependencies involving external development partners and vendors.

About You

  • 8+ years of experience in software delivery, programme management, release management, Agile leadership, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience coordinating delivery across multiple Agile teams within a complex technology environment.
  • Strong experience managing software releases for customer-facing digital products, ideally mobile applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive execution, manage dependencies, and deliver outcomes across geographically distributed teams.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and scaled delivery practices.
  • Experience working with mobile application release processes and a working knowledge of Apple App Store and Google Play Store deployment workflows.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and align technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience using data and metrics to drive delivery improvements.
  • Comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels, balancing executive reporting with hands-on delivery leadership.
  • Experience leading Scrum Masters, driving Agile best practices, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Experience working with external vendors, offshore teams, and complex cross-functional programmes is highly desirable.
  • Experience in Technical Program Management, Delivery Management, Release Management, or Release Train Engineering within a large-scale product engineering organisation.
