
Responsible for managing and coordinating application releases, infrastructure maintenance, and deployment activities across non-production and production environments. Oversees end-to-end release processes including planning, scheduling, risk mitigation, dependency management, implementation, and backout strategies to ensure stable and compliant deployments. Collaborates cross-functionally with Development, DevOps, QA, Operations, Architecture, and business teams to support CI/CD initiatives, deployment automation, and enterprise change management standards.
Key responsibilities include administering and troubleshooting build and deployment processes using tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Datadog, and Rundeck; supporting continuous integration and delivery pipelines; coordinating database refreshes and environment checkouts; monitoring environment stability; and ensuring adherence to change management policies and audit requirements. Acts as a primary point of contact for release execution, go-live coordination, deployment validation, and post-release support while driving process improvements, automation, documentation, and DevOps best practices. Provides occasional after-hours support and participates in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule within a hybrid work environment.
Develop, analyze, and manage Application deployment and infrastructure maintenance plans.
Identify dependencies, mitigate risks and scheduling conflicts.
Supervise progress to implementation plan and design a backout strategy.
Work cross-functionally to help facilitate applications and infrastructure changes to pre and production environments using deployment automation tools.
Secure applications checkout resources and facilitate checkouts in controlled environments.
Monitor/police environment changes and ensure stability and quality.
Ensure Compliance with Enterprise Change Management Guidelines, provide guidance to IT Delivery Teams in establishing discipline around Build Delivery and Release process.
Plan, communicate and coordinate database refresh activities for controlled environments
Create and/or maintain process documentation/workflows, knowledge articles and self-service guidance for applicable IT Services
Work location – Hybrid, work from HQ address as requested by leadership, and ability to work from home.
Base Pay Information
The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental’s assessment of the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
