Job Description

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Release Engineer in India.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the delivery and reliability of critical technology solutions supporting the life sciences and clinical research industry. You will play a key role in managing software releases, deployments, integrations, and configuration processes within a fast-paced and highly regulated environment. The position involves close collaboration with developers, testers, stakeholders, and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery pipelines and high system reliability. You will work on release coordination, systems integration, capacity management, and continuous process improvement initiatives. Accountabilities:

  • Manage and coordinate software release and deployment activities, ensuring successful delivery across environments.
  • Monitor system and service capacity, identifying and resolving performance or resource-related issues proactively.
  • Assess, document, and implement change requests while maintaining alignment with established procedures and governance standards.
  • Maintain secure configuration management processes, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation of system and software configurations.
  • Build, integrate, and deploy software components in collaboration with developers, testers, and technical specialists.
  • Define integration builds, configure environments, execute integration testing activities, and support issue resolution.
  • Maintain and optimize release processes, deployment workflows, and automation practices where applicable.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate progress, manage expectations, and resolve operational issues effectively.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance release efficiency, quality, and reliability.
  • Contribute to testing, validation, and quality assurance activities within regulated environments.

    • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Computing, Mathematics, or related fields, or equivalent practical experience.
    • Professional experience in release engineering, configuration management, systems integration, or a similar role.
    • Strong understanding of release management, deployment processes, and software configuration practices.
    • Experience working in regulated environments such as GxP, healthcare, financial services, or similar industries.
    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, preferably Scrum, and software development lifecycle practices.
    • Understanding of UML, object-oriented concepts, data modeling, or process modeling methodologies.
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in fast-paced and time-sensitive environments.
    • Excellent analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Self-motivated and adaptable mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
    • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Awareness of testing, validation, and quality processes within enterprise technology environments.
