About the Role

You will manage a growth-focused portfolio of small and medium-sized businesses, partnering with passionate business owners across a range of industries. By developing a deep understanding of each customer’s business, ambitions, and financial needs, you will position the bank as a trusted partner in their growth journey.

This role has a strong emphasis on proactive acquisition, with a relentless focus on identifying and converting new trading business opportunities. You will expand relationships by offering the full suite of banking solutions, driving sustainable growth through new-to-bank clients, increased share of wallet, and strategic referrals.

You’ll develop valuable technical expertise as you collaborate with product partners and other ANZ stakeholders to design, structure and execute deals. And you’ll be backed by a supportive, results-driven leadership team to learn from and guide you.

What will your day look like?

  • Providing customers with appropriate solutions by understanding their needs
  • Building and maintaining strong internal and external networks to support strong deal design and execution
  • Structuring deals in conjunction with relevant product and specialist teams
  • Proactively managing credit and operational risks
  • Applying Relationship Credit Approval Discretion as appropriate.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Ability to build long-term customer relationships and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Strong understanding of commercial mid-market banking products
  • Ability to understand customers business needs and offer tailored solutions
  • Experience assessing, advising, monitoring and/or approving a customer's credit worthiness and credit risk and suitable credit structuring options
  • Ability to negotiate terms and conditions of credit facilities and other banking products to suit the customers business goals
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive efficiency and create long-term value.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, risk management principles and how to mitigate risks.
