Job Description

With a buoying strategy and streamlined approach towards our market segments, Business Banking SBU positions itself as a dedicated and trusted partner, helping customers achieve entrepreneurial success through expert advice and tailor-made solutions.

By joining the team as Relationship Manager, you will be responsible to develop a portfolio of Mid-Market Segment and maintain strong long-term relationship whilst growing the Business Banking segment brand value and delivering excellent service level.

Job vacancy: Relationship Manager

In this role, you will:

  • Establish and build relationships with existing and potential clients to better understand and anticipate the evolving customer needs;
  • Acquire new clients in view of increasing the segment’s market share;
  • Continuously provide a prompt and personalised service to clients within the segment and portfolio;
  • Generate leads and ensure that the leads pipeline is appropriately fueled to constantly grow the business;
  • Manage the performance of credit portfolios in accordance to established bank’s procedures and policies to minimize financial risks;
  • Engage promptly and collaborate with the Risk team on financing propositions for timely assessment of proposed deals;
  • Represent the bank in appropriate forum and/or any public relation events for networking and to seize business opportunities;
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual strategic plan, budget and budget forecast;
  • Comply and ensure team's compliance to all relevant laws, codes, rules, regulations, procedures and standards of best working practice in order to minimise financial loss and protect the good name and reputation of the MCB Group.

To succeed, you will be required to demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Effectively building formal and informal relationship networks inside and outside the organization.

We are looking for a candidate who has a minimum of:

  • A completed Degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Management or any relevant field;
  • 3 years' experience in either Relationship Management dealing with medium-sized business or 3 years' experience in credit analysis or structured finance for large corporate clients;

You will be required to demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of Accounting Principles & Practice, Financial Analysis, and Credit Risk Principles;
  • Knowledge of Banking Regulatory Framework, Lending Procedures, Guidelines and Policies and Anti-Money Laundering/Fraud procedures.

A combination of both qualifications & experience will be considered.
