Roles & Responsibilities:

Some of the responsibilities will include:

  • Identify customer needs and provide them with right financial planning assistance and asset allocation with the help of our Investment Advisory services.
  • Build and deepen relationships with existing HNI Customers to achieve increase in share of wallet.
  • Acquire New Clients for the firm and also develop new territories.
  • Increase AUM Book through cross selling products of bank and increasing wallet share
  • Work with colleagues of other divisions of the bank to Cross Sell products and services to clients.
  • Adhere to all company processes and policies, and carry the Kotak brand through developed functional and behavioural skills.
  • Deliver Sales Targets

Job Requirements:

  • Experience preferably in finance and/or sales
  • Experience / keen interest in investments/financial services.
  • Knowledge of Financial Markets and various asset classes
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Entrepreneur mindset, self-motivated


As a Relationship Manager – HNI, your core responsibility is to manage and grow a portfolio of High Net-Worth Individuals by offering personalized financial solutions and delivering exceptional service. Your role will encompass the following key areas: 1. Client Acquisition & Business Development Identify and acquire new HNI clients through strategic networking, referrals, and market research. Explore and develop new territories to expand the client base and increase market penetration. Build a strong pipeline of prospective clients and convert leads into long-term relationships. 2. Relationship Management Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned HNI clients, ensuring consistent engagement and satisfaction. Understand clients’ financial goals, preferences, and risk profiles to deliver customized solutions. Strengthen client relationships to increase share of wallet and ensure long-term retention. 3. Investment Advisory & Financial Planning Provide expert guidance on financial planning, asset allocation, and portfolio structuring. Recommend suitable investment products across asset classes including equity, debt, mutual funds, structured products, and alternative investments. Stay abreast of market trends and economic developments to offer timely and relevant advice. 4. Portfolio Management & Revenue Growth Monitor client portfolios regularly to ensure alignment with financial objectives and market conditions. Drive growth in Assets Under Management (AUM) by cross-selling Kotak’s suite of banking and investment products. Identify opportunities to enhance revenue through upselling and product bundling. 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with internal teams across banking, insurance, and investment divisions to deliver comprehensive financial solutions. Coordinate with product specialists and research analysts to provide clients with expert insights and recommendations. 6. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and documentation standards. Maintain high levels of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism in all client interactions. Conduct periodic reviews and audits to ensure adherence to risk and compliance frameworks. 7. Sales Target Achievement Consistently meet and exceed assigned sales targets, revenue goals, and client acquisition metrics. Prepare and present performance reports to management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement. Participate in strategic planning and contribute to the overall growth of the Private Banking business.
