Business Function

DBS Institutional Banking Group provides corporate customers with a full range of commercial banking products and services, including cash management services, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance, working capital finance, term loans and foreign exchange. Responsibilities

  • Provide corporate customers with a full range of commercial banking products and services, including cash management services, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance, working capital finance, term loans, bancassurance and foreign exchange.
  • Solicit and develop new borrowing relationships, warm lead referrals from existing borrowers and / or Relationship Managers’ contacts;
  • Customer relationship management to spot new business opportunities, understand customers’ requirements, structure deal and proper evaluation of credit risks including identifying significant risks and mitigating factors to achieve a balance stance for the customer and bank;
  • Proactive management, supervision and monitoring of an existing pool of borrowing accounts to achieve optimum utilization rate and profitability.
  • Timely submission of credit review, being alert to credit deterioration or improvement, and taking timely action (including elevation to senior bankers and credit);
  • Implement & execute Mid Cap business strategy to increase market share & to achieve targets consistent with Mid Cap revenue, ROE & Cost / Income ratio targets and risk control & compliance.

Requirements

  • University degree with 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in sales within the commercial banking space, handling midcap corporates
  • Good understanding of credit risks and ability to independently conduct discussions with credit / risk management teams would be preferrable
  • Good knowledge of various corporate and investment banking products including cash management services, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance, working capital finance, loans, M&A
  • Ability to solicit and develop new borrowing relationships
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management to spot new business opportunities, understand customers’ requirements, and structure deals.
  • Ability to properly evaluate credit risks, including identifying significant risks and mitigating factors to achieve a balanced stance for the customer and bank.
  • Competence in proactive management, supervision, and monitoring of an existing pool of borrowing accounts to achieve optimum utilization rate and profitability.
  • Strong sense of commitment and accountability, possess a business focus mindset, self-motivated to deliver work of the highest standard; energetic, service oriented and highly motivated
