About the Role

Corporate Banking is a vibrant and fast-paced business. We manage relationships with customers in the middle market segment which are often large private family groups, ASX small-medium caps, sporting groups and professional service companies many of which ANZ has had a very long term relationship with.

Role Location: Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane

Role Type: Permanent, Full-time

What will your day look like?

This role is accountable for:

• Managing corporate customers in the middle market segment
• Developing new connections and / or using your existing connections to originate new to bank business
• Maintaining and growing the existing customer base
• Cultivating a close relationship to understand the needs of your customers and effectively implementing banking solutions to support their business objectives

There are two key parts of the role:

1. Maintaining and growing your existing customer base. This is done by working with product partners, cultivating a close relationship to understand the needs of your customers and effectively implementing banking solutions to support their business objectives.
2. Developing new connections and / or using your existing connections to originate new to bank business

What will you bring?

Financial outcomes are an important part of this role and success in this area is predicated on a range of skills. To be successful, you will need to enjoy, have skills in and / or the ability to develop the following:

• Genuine enjoyment working with people, inquisitive approach, building on existing relationships and meeting new people through networking. Genuine enjoyment from developing and cultivating relationships
• Self-awareness and listening skills and an ability to flex leadership and communication styles to be effective with a range of people in different situations
• Credit analysis and structuring skills including an ability to make sound decisions and talk confidently in front of customers regarding bank appetite
• Stakeholder management skills, ability to prioritise multiple tasks and be comfortable operating in a fast-paced and unpredictable environment
• Resilience in the face of challenge and pressure, high levels of motivation and an ability to motivate others through all situations
• Whilst prior frontline relationship management experience is well-regarded, it is not mandatory to be considered
• Banking experience with evidence of delivering outcomes and sound decision-making skills
• Self-awareness, flexible style and resilience
