Job Description

Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme (“MRC”) for Hong Kong

The Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme is a framework to facilitate Authorized Institutions (“AIs”) to bilaterally obtain reference information during their recruitment process for certain positions, such that misconduct information in an individual’s previous employments can be provided to AIs to inform their employment decisions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Relationship Management team to achieve and exceed sales and business targets based on agreed plan, design strategies for KPIs implementation including pipeline management, coaching plan and promotional activities

  • Recommend innovative marketing and promotional activities for customer acquisition and business growth

  • Assist Branch Manager to implement localized promotional activities for relationship deepening and optimization of business opportunities

  • Assist Branch Manager on overall branch management including sales management, staff management, branch operations, customer services and compliance issues

  • Ensure investment & insurance selling are fully complied with regulatory requirements and internal selling procedures

  • Contribute to the Bank’s success and uphold the Bank’s image by providing quality services to customers and proactively giving feedback, ideas and recommendations for improvement

  • Provide on-going coaching and training to subordinates to ensure they are competent to perform the job

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Business Administration or related disciplines is preferred

  • Minimum 8 years branch banking experience, including 2 years management experience

  • Possess qualifications for relevant insurance and investment licenses registration

  • Preferably possess/obtain Core or Professional level of qualification under the HKMA Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) on Retail Wealth Management (RWM)

  • High market awareness with sound knowledge in retail banking business

  • Good interpersonal, communication and people management skills

  • Result-oriented with a strong will to achieve business success

  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
