CommBank’s Commercial Bank is looking for a Relationship Executive to join our team and provide meaningful solutions for a portfolio of Diversified clients with complex banking needs. You will use your insights, experience and expertise, along with a great range of innovative products and services, to help move these Commercial businesses forward.

More broadly this role will join a specialised team which includes Relationship Executives & Analysts – all committed to delivering exceptional service and solutions to our clients in order to achieve long lasting relationships and sustainable business growth.

The Role.
A s the Relationship Executive, you will lead and own a portfolio of Diversified Commercial Banking clients with turnover up to 15m and typical lending size up to 5m, delivering on a range of needs including cash flow, capital, wealth, risk management and investment advice.

You will be supported to provide excellent service to clients, this will be done by focussing on identifying new opportunities for existing client as well as purposeful and intentional new client acquisition.

More specifically, you will

  • Build strong relationships with clients and retain their business through excellent client service;
  • Use your network and referral partners to identify and pursue new to bank opportunities;
  • Gain an in depth understanding of complex client needs and engage product specialists to deliver a broad range of financial solutions;
  • Drive deal execution with proven skills in origination, structuring and negotiation of complex solutions; and
  • Continue to build your profile and presence on behalf of CommBank across the region.

We're interested in hearing from people who:

  • Have solid experience in building and leading a Business Banking portfolio and lending above $1m;
  • Have a deep understanding of banking products and services;
  • Are highly skilled in credit and comfortable in financial analysis, with a strong understanding of financial documents and the underlying cash-flow drivers; and
  • Pride themselves in building relationships through excellent service and driving new business.

This opportunity would suit a Relationship Manager or Business Banker who is looking to step up, develop & enhance their experience within complex, high value lending and to be part of a team who are on a growth journey.
