Essential Functions

  • Conduct interactive, consultative interviews to assess member needs and recommend tailored financial solutions.
  • Educate members on credit, long-term planning, budgeting, and financial wellness.
  • Resolve complex account issues and escalations with empathy and efficiency.
  • Ensure smooth member onboarding experiences and promote adoption of digital products such as enrollment in online banking and the mobile app.
  • Actively participate in external events to build relationships and source new business.
  • Maintain and expand a book of business including loans and deposits.
  • Track and convert qualified referrals through strategic pipeline management.
  • Manage and grow Select Employer Group (SEG) partnerships and Centers of Influence (COI) referrals.
  • Lead team huddles and contribute to business development.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by leadership Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes
  • Complete required regulatory training as assigned.
  • Maintain strict adherence to and in compliance with all laws, rules, regulations, and internal controls specific to your role, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, USA Patriot Act, OFAC and Fair Lending regulations.

  • Mastery in all personal banking areas including but not limited to: Total Member Experience, performing the ADAPT model, UFCU products and services
  • Ability to de-escalate Member interactions and turn them into Member success stories
  • Ability to deliver presentations
  • Ability to guide less experienced staff, share knowledge, and support team development.
  • Ability to respond flexibly to changing Member needs, regulatory requirements, and new technologies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across roles and departments to deliver an exceptional Member experience.
  • Model effective member service and sales techniques for junior team members.

Experience

Minimum Requirements (Must have)

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 18 months of experience in customer service and working in a team environment
  • Demonstrated formal or informal leadership mentoring of peers
  • Minimum 6 months of financial institution experience
  • Minimum 6 months of lending experience
  • Obtain Medallion Stamp Certification

Preferred Requirements (Nice to have)

  • Bilingual English/second language
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
