As a Rehabilitation Consultant supporting Australian Retirement Trust, you’ll play a vital role in improving the claims experience for our customers by enabling safe, timely, and sustainable return to work outcomes. Sitting within our Life Claims team, this role brings expert rehabilitation insight into claims decision-making and customer support.

You’ll work closely with claims teams, customers, and treating providers to deliver thoughtful, person centred rehabilitation solutions. Your impact will be felt through better customer experiences, stronger outcomes, and continuous improvement across our rehabilitation approach as we continue to modernise how we work.

You will also be responsible for the following:

• Providing rehabilitation advice, support, and oversight across life insurance claims.
• Ensuring consistent, high quality rehabilitation decisions aligned to Zurich guidelines.
• Partnering with claims teams to improve duration management and return to work outcomes.
• Building strong relationships with customers, treating providers, and external rehabilitation partners.
• Sharing best practice and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Supporting education and capability uplift across internal and external stakeholders

You’re someone who brings empathy, confidence, and sound judgement to every interaction. You work collaboratively, communicate with clarity, and balance customer care with commercial outcomes in a fast moving environment.

In order to be successful, you will have the following:

• Extensive experience in occupational rehabilitation within complex or insurance based environments.
• A relevant allied health qualification such as Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation Counselling, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, or similar.
• Demonstrated experience providing rehabilitation advice across a range of health conditions.
• Strong stakeholder engagement experience with customers, clinicians, and internal teams.
• Confidence working within guidelines while applying practical, customer focused judgement.
• Well developed communication and decision making capability.
