Regulatory Reporting Specialist

As a Regulatory Reporting Specialist at OCBC, you will play a critical role in ensuring the bank's compliance with regulatory requirements. You will have the opportunity to work with various stakeholders, including regulators, auditors, and internal teams, to provide accurate and timely reporting. This role will challenge you to stay up-to-date with changing regulatory requirements and provide insights to support business decisions.

How you succeed
To succeed in this role, you will need to develop a deep understanding of regulatory requirements and their impact on the bank's operations. You will need to collaborate with various teams to gather data, analyze information, and prepare reports that meet regulatory standards. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work under pressure will be essential in delivering high-quality reports on time.

What you do

  • Preparation and submission of Statistical and Regulatory Reports including STATsmart, EAL and UBO reporting, for accurate and timely submission to Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) in accordance with the relevant BNM guidelines.

  • Handle surveys and ad-hoc requests from BNM as well as administrative matters.

  • To participate in ad-hoc projects relating to financial and regulatory reporting.

  • Other matters as required by management.


Who you are

  • Degree / Professional qualification in accounting / finance / economics.

  • Preferably with experience of 2 to 4 years in handling/preparing statistical and regulatory reports to BNM and knowledgeable in the relevant reporting requirements.

  • Possess positive attitude and good communication skills.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Good PC knowledge particularly MS Excel and Word.

  • Detailed oriented and have affinity for figures.

  • Able to work under pressure and independently.

  • Must be a team player.

  • On the job training will be provided.

  • Manager position is for the experienced candidates, however fresh graduates with the right attitude towards learning were also encouraged to apply for entry level position.

  • This is a contract position for 1 year.
