The Commodities Operations group seeks a senior analyst (AVP) candidate to join the Confirmations team to manage the Regulatory Reporting process. In this role, you will initially prepare and manage the regulatory reports that are submitted to the regulators to report Citi’s physical transactions. The successful candidate for this role will primarily be tasked with generating reports for physical trades executed by the desk monthly, quarterly, and yearly meeting regulatory imposed timelines. In addition, this candidate will work within the confirmations team drafting confirmations sent to clients for execution
Responsibilities:
Work with Legal, Credit, and Trading to draft standard and bespoke trade confirmations as necessary to ensure the document reflects accurate terms of the executed transaction.
Daily monitoring and handling of ICE eConfirm electronic matching confirmation process
Review incoming confirmations from counterparties and discuss any non-standard clauses with Legal prior to execution
Assist with escalations of counterparties for outstanding confirmations not received in a timely manner
Perform various regulatory reporting duties (daily, weekly, and monthly) from creation of reports to reviewing created reports for accuracy.
Partner with technology to enhance and automate regulatory reports
Develop a technical understanding of Citi trading and confirmation applications and architecture
Identify opportunities for improvement in current processes and seek ways for automation.
Perform User Acceptance Testing as necessary to ensure all proposed system releases and enhancements are fit for purpose
Qualifications:
Knowledge of commodities transactions, both physical and financial
Demonstrated success solving problems proactively
Proven ability to quickly understand and critically assess complex processes
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Ability to multitask and strive in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment
Experience submitting regulatory reports to various regulators a plus
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
