
Purpose of the role
To provide strategic advice and guidance on all aspects of regulatory engagement, while managing and coordinating the bank’s interactions with regulators, ensuring open and constructive regulatory relationships.

In this role, you will work within the Barclays Europe Regulatory Relations team, reporting to the Head of Government and Regulatory Policy and Relations, Europe within Paris. You will support the core Businesses and Functions to effectively deliver a programme of work for EU regulators and manage senior-level relationships with those regulators. As Barclays Bank Ireland plc is a Significant Institution under the comprehensive supervision of the European Central Bank, the Central Bank of Ireland, ACPR and AMF in France, you will ensure that regulators have access to the necessary people and information to discharge their supervisory responsibilities. You will develop and communicate insights on Barclays’ regulatory relationships and specific issues, as well as broader industry-wide themes. Utilising client relationship management technology, you will record and facilitate the reporting of regulatory engagement, issues, and commitments. Acting as a trusted adviser to business and Functions on regulatory and supervisory developments, you will execute regulator exam management, including oversight and coordination of logistics, attendees, presentation content, meeting preparations, and follow-ups. You will liaise with regulators to confirm exam timelines and agendas, coordinate requirements, and update regulators and stakeholders on recent developments.
You will autonomously coordinate and draft internal communications and briefs for regulator meetings, attend meetings with regulators, draft meeting notes, and ensure the completion of any follow-up actions. By developing and maintaining close working relationships with internal stakeholders, you will assist in the production of MI and other internal reporting, provide consistent best practices, identify areas for process improvement, and take ownership of assigned tasks from start to finish.

This role is a fixed term contract which is due to end in February 2027.
The role is located in our Paris office.
Minimum: €75,000
The minimum salary information above includes only annual full-time equivalent base salary and typically represents the lowest level of pay for this role. The actual pay rate will reflect the responsibility level of the role and experience level of the individual. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
