WSP is looking for passionate, focused and detail-oriented individuals to join our growing Chemical Compliance team as Regulatory Product Consultants. This is an exciting opportunity to support clients in understanding and complying with complex chemical regulations while developing specialist expertise in a growing and highly valued area of the business.

Our Chemical Compliance team provides regulatory compliance and product stewardship services to organisations worldwide. We support clients across a range of sectors, helping them meet UK, European and global chemical regulatory requirements including REACH-type regulations and CLP/GHS. Our services include Safety Data Sheet (SDS) authoring and review, Poison Centre Notifications, regulatory compliance support and software-based compliance solutions.

A little more about your role...

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering chemical regulatory activities and supporting Product Managers in the delivery of work for our clients. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining knowledge of the chemical regulatory landscape, with training and support provided to build technical expertise.
• Managing your own workload and supporting project managers in the delivery of client work.
• Building strong relationships with clients and colleagues through effective communication.
• Proactively engaging with colleagues across the Chemical Compliance team and wider practice.
• Working collaboratively with others to deliver shared objectives and meet project deadlines.
• Managing competing priorities and multiple work packages effectively.
• Delivering work accurately and to agreed timescales while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of products, processes and service delivery.

What we'd like you to demonstrate...

• Background in analytical chemistry, product support (formulation or chemicals production) or another STEM field is advantageous.
• Knowledge of, or experience working with, CLP and/or REACH regulations would be advantageous.
• Experience of working with chemicals in a manufacturing or laboratory environment, or experience managing chemical data, would be beneficial but is not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other software applications is essential.
• A willingness to learn and develop technical expertise in chemical regulation and compliance.
