Pay Grade: 09 | Full Time | Shift Details: 8:00AM -4:30PM Monday - Friday (OFF Saturday & Sunday)

Job Purpose or Objective(s):Works independently from the Gaming Commission staff and home office at their respective casino locations. This role combines the responsibilities of both a Background Investigator and a Quality Assurance Specialist. The primary focus is to ensure compliance with all relevant gaming regulations, maintain machine integrity, and oversee background investigations for applicants, in alignment with federal, state, and tribal laws.

Primary Tasks:

Ensure compliance with the Choctaw Nation Gaming Commission (CNGC), National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC), and the State of Oklahoma Tribal Compact regarding the integrity of electronic gaming machine logic compartments.

Monitor, track, and make necessary adjustments to the machine inventory within the Slot Accounting System.

Collaborate with casino operations, Human Resources, and gaming vendors to coordinate priorities and schedules, minimizing machine downtime and ensuring timely maintenance.

Receive, review, and process gaming license applications and renewals for assigned facilities, ensuring completeness and accuracy before initiating background investigations.

Verify applicants' work history for the past five years by contacting previous employers.

Fingerprint applicants and obtain criminal history reports to evaluate applicants’ criminal background.

Investigate criminal charges reported by agencies or disclosed by applicants.

Enter applicant information into the system to obtain credit reports, personal reference data, and TAP reports from NIGC regarding other tribal gaming licenses.

Evaluate applicants’ credit reports and public records (bankruptcies, civil judgments, small claims suits, etc.) and request necessary statements to complete the applicant’s file.

Prepare comprehensive investigative summaries and submit them to the Licensing Manager for review.

Represent the CNGC in the WAP Jackpot verification process, being on-call and traveling to the applicable casino locations as needed.

Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Licensing Manager or Technical Compliance Manager.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or five (5) years of gaming or Tribal Government experience.
  • Familiar with gaming regulations to ensure compliance with federal, state, and tribal laws.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive materials with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Must obtain and maintain a key gaming license.
