Job Description


Minimum qualifications:

  • JD, LL.B., equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
  • Experience in digital regulation including privacy and other data laws, and with UK, European laws and institutions.
  • Admitted to the bar and in good standing and authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in a jurisdiction in which the position is located.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in regulator engagement.
  • Familiarity with other EMEA region laws.
  • Understanding of privacy adjacent regulations (e.g., EU Digital Services Act, EU AI Act).

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $252000 - $351000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Interpret laws and other compliance obligations into requirements for Compliance, Business, Product, and Engineering teams.
  • Provide legal advice on compliance programs and policies to help mitigate risk.
  • Partner with government affairs and public policy colleagues to advance government and regulator discussions, negotiations, and disclosures on compliance readiness efforts.
