About your future role

We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Compliance & AML team. From this role you will ensure the company meets Group requirements and regulatory obligations for AML, PSD2, ABAC, CoI, ESG and other compliance areas, taking into consideration the provision of the current relevant regulatory framework and best practices.

This role provides you with the opportunity to work in a hybrid model, combining work from home and from the office. The position plays a vital role inside the Compliance Department contributing to the department’s strategic plans. Your local team will be based in Athens, Greece.

Your key responsibilities in this role will include:

Quality Assurance (QA):

  • Develop and maintain QA frameworks for compliance processes, ensuring effectiveness and consistency.
  • Validate the design and operational effectiveness of AML monitoring systems and transaction screening tools.
  • Review compliance-related KPIs and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Develop procedures and policies and help in implementation

Regulatory Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Stay updated on BoG directives, PSD2 requirements, and Group compliance standards.
  • Prepare reports to be presented to senior management, other stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

Collaboration & Training:

  • Work closely with AML, Risk, IT Security, and Operations teams to ensure integrated compliance controls.
  • Provide guidance and training on compliance audit methodologies and QA best practices.

Qualifications needed to be successful in this role:

  • Minimum 3–5 years in Compliance, AML, or Internal Audit within financial services.

  • Familiarity with BoG regulations, PSD2, AML/CFT frameworks, and payment systems.

  • Bachelor's and/or Master’s in Law, Economics or related fields.

  • Knowledge of AML laws and regulations in Greece and the European Union, as well as best practices.

  • Previous proven working experience in Digital Payments area will be considered a plus.

  • Excellent command of English & Greek language (verbal & written communication).

  • Organized team player with a positive “can do” attitude and with that a determination to succeed in a challenging and competitive environment.

Additional skills and experience that would make you stand out:

  • Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to identify risks.

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and audit principles, and excellent reporting skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all hierarchy levels within the organization.

  • Certifications (preferred): CAMS, CISA, or equivalent compliance/audit certifications.
