Job Description

At AlixPartners we solve the most complex and critical challenges by moving quickly from analysis to action when it really matters; creating value that has a lasting impact on companies, their people, and the communities they serve. By understanding, respecting, and honoring the needs of our employees, clients, and communities, AlixPartners actively promotes an inclusive environment. We strongly believe in the value that diversity brings to our experiences and are committed to the perpetual enhancements of initiatives, policies, and practices. We hold ourselves accountable by providing the space for authenticity, growth, and equity for everyone.

AlixPartners has embraced a hybrid work model to provide flexibility and support our employees’ work-life integration. Our hybrid model combines a mix of in-person (at client site or AlixPartners office) and remote working. Travel is part of this position, but the frequency may vary based on client, team, and individual circumstances.

What you’ll do

We are operational consultants working at the intersection of complex data, regulatory scrutiny, and growing risk. Our focus is on reducing risk quickly and effectively.

We design and implement risk and compliance programmes, step into interim compliance leadership roles, and act as independent advisers and monitors. Our work combines practical, technology‑enabled processes with strong governance, targeted controls, and robust operating models. We also support organisations in assessing and driving the cultural change required to enable ethical, well‑governed decision‑making.

We conduct domestic and cross‑border investigations and advise boards, senior management, and regulators on the prevention, investigation, and resolution of complex, international compliance matters.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following:

  • 2-3 years* of relevant experience in consulting or industry, ideally within financial services
  • Exposure to compliance‑related work with financial institutions and/or corporates (e.g. AML, sanctions, financial crime), across preventative, investigative and/or remediation activities
  • Strong analytical capability, with experience working across quantitative and qualitative data to support investigations, assessments, and recommendations
  • Practical experience leveraging AI‑enabled tools and technology to support research, analysis, and insight development
  • Motivated, proactive individuals with a strong interest in risk, compliance and investigations
  • Practical and adaptable, able to learn quickly and contribute in fast‑paced project environments
  • Foundational understanding of relevant rules and regulations, with an interest in how regulatory requirements translate into practical business application
  • Experience supporting multiple workstreams as part of delivery‑focused project teams and a strong desire to work in interdisciplinary and international teams

This description is not designed to encompass a comprehensive listing of required activities, duties or responsibilities.

What you’ll need

  • Master’s degree, preferably in a STEM‑related discipline
  • Willingness to travel within a hybrid working and travel model
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German. Additional languages will be an asset.
  • Willingness to work outside of normal business hours, and in particular as unique projects/needs arise.
  • Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment.
  • Must become familiar with, and promote and abide by, our Core Values as defined by the AlixPartners’ Code of Conduct and foster an inclusive environment with people at all levels of an organisation.

The firm offers market-leading benefits that provide flexible options to support our employee’s needs including health benefits to help prioritise their physical and emotional well-being, time-off policies to help to recharge and financial/ retirement benefits that offer income protection and support long-term planning.

The benefit type and level differ per location.
