About the Role
We’re looking for a Regulatory Compliance Analyst to join our team. In this role, you’ll play an important part in supporting the OCS Regulatory Compliance Program through the implementation and ongoing maintenance of compliance programs and processes. The program’s objective is to help the organization uphold integrity and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, directives, and policies in a systematic, structured, and proactive manner, while identifying gaps and addressing risk.
This role is highly focused on task management and requires strong attention to detail, providing hands on support for the implementation and operationalization of the OCS Regulatory Compliance framework in high risk areas. The Regulatory Compliance Analyst also provides analyst level operational support to the Privacy and Access functions, including assisting with Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and supporting the processing of Freedom of Information (FOI) requests, as required.
About Your Day
• Support the implementation, maintenance, and ongoing maturity of Regulatory Compliance programs and processes across the organization.
• Maintain awareness of the regulatory landscape, including changes to laws and regulations, to support compliance and mitigate legal and financial risk.
• Update and maintain the Regulations Register to reflect new or changing regulatory obligations.
• Analyze regulatory requirements and translate them into clear, practical business requirements for implementation by responsible teams.
• Assist in developing and maintaining compliance policies, procedures, forms, and guidelines.
• Promote and support Regulatory Compliance programs through education, training materials, and resources.
• Provide operational support to Privacy and Access, including Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Freedom of Information (FOI) intake and processing.
• Review and test the effectiveness of compliance controls (policies, procedures, standards, training) to assess adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Develop compliance review schedules and test plans, conduct reviews, and prepare reports identifying gaps and levels of compliance.
• Recommend and track corrective actions, ensuring risk mitigation efforts are implemented and escalating unresolved risks to senior leadership.
• Investigate alleged instances of non compliance through to resolution, as required.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand and support compliance needs.
• Support fit gap assessments and risk assessments, working with business partners and Enterprise Risk Management to identify and address regulatory risks.
• Assist in developing risk assessment reports for senior leadership and support solutions to reduce regulatory non compliance.
About You
• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration/Policy, Law, Compliance, Privacy, or a related field.
• Professional compliance certification (e.g., CCEP or CCEP I) preferred; CIPP/C designation considered an asset.
• 1–3 years of experience in a regulatory compliance role; 5+ years within the Ontario Public Sector in compliance and privacy is preferred.
• Experience developing reports, policies, and procedures, ideally in a regulated or industry related environment.
• Knowledge of industry regulatory standards.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience preparing clear, effective business presentations.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and word processing tools.

Compensation
The target hiring range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000. This is a pay grade 5B role, with a salary range of $61,291.58- $93,437.08. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
