The Position

As a Regulatory AI & Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for acting as the strategic bridge between regulatory science and technology, driving digital transformation within the PDR organization. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement intelligent automation and generative AI solutions, eliminating repetitive tasks and optimizing operational processes to bring efficiency and agility to a global community of over 500 regulatory professionals.

The Opportunity

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable automation solutions (such as RPA, Python scripts, UiPath workflows, or No-Code/Low-Code tools) to optimize global regulatory processes.

  • Research, experiment with, and implement applications based on Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, and natural language processing (NLP) tailored to regulatory document management.

  • Partner closely with business analysts, regulatory subject matter experts, and global leaders to map current operational processes and identify critical automation opportunities.

  • Provide ongoing technical support, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting for automation and AI solutions already deployed in production.

  • Author and maintain rigorous technical documentation, including solution architecture, source code, user guides, and testing methodologies.

  • Design and deliver internal training programs to empower regulatory teams in the adoption and effective use of AI and automation technologies.

  • Present performance metrics, project updates, and strategic recommendations to business stakeholders and organizational leadership (with a scope of influence aligned to the experience level).

Who you are

  • University degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Health Sciences with a strong technological focus, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in designing and developing process automation (RPA) solutions, workflows, and implementing AI tools (minimum 2–3 years for a Junior profile; 4+ years for a Senior profile).

  • Solid technical and programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL, and automation environments (UiPath, Power Automate, or Cloud platforms), along with familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Agile).

  • Understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory frameworks and industry registration procedures is highly valued.

  • Fluent and advanced English language skills (both written and spoken) to effectively interact, influence, and present findings to global teams across multiple time zones.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, a system-thinking mindset, resilience, and a strong passion for innovation focused on radically simplifying business processes.
