The Role

We are currently hiring for a Compliance Manager in our London office to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our regulatory compliance framework across the business. Working closely with the Director, Regulatory Affairs, you will provide trusted regulatory guidance, support strategic business objectives, and help ensure compliance with PRA, FCA, Lloyd's and international regulatory requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced compliance professional to influence business decisions, drive regulatory excellence, and contribute to a strong culture of compliance across the organisation.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Trusted Business Partner: Build strong relationships across the business, providing practical and proportionate compliance advice that supports commercial objectives while maintaining regulatory integrity.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Provide guidance on the interpretation and application of PRA, FCA, Lloyd's and other applicable regulatory requirements, acting as a subject matter expert across key compliance areas.
  • Compliance Framework Oversight: Deliver key elements of the compliance plan, support monitoring activities, undertake thematic reviews and identify opportunities to enhance compliance effectiveness and business efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Training: Promote a proactive compliance culture through effective communication, training and support, helping colleagues understand and meet their regulatory obligations.
  • Regulatory Monitoring & Horizon Scanning: Support regulatory change management by monitoring new regulations, market developments and emerging risks, ensuring the business remains compliant and forward-looking.

What We're Looking For

  • Compliance Expertise: Significant experience within a Compliance or Legal function, ideally gained within an insurer or broker operating in the Lloyd's and/or company market.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of the UK regulatory environment, including PRA, FCA and Lloyd's requirements and expectations.
  • Stakeholder Management Skills: Proven ability to influence, collaborate and build credibility with colleagues at all levels, including senior leadership, Board members and international teams.
  • Commercial & Analytical Mindset: Ability to assess regulatory issues within a commercial context, identify risks and opportunities, and deliver clear, practical recommendations.
  • Communication & Development Focus: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a commitment to continuous professional development and the ability to explain complex regulatory concepts clearly and effectively.
