Join us in this role where you’ll monitor and analyse Danish and EU regulation, translate it into clear business insights, and help ensure our Danish asset portfolio operate in an efficient, resilient and future-ready regulatory environment. You’ll work closely with our commercial and generation colleagues to support decision making, while growing your expertise in how regulation underpins a green, affordable, and secure energy future.

Welcome to Danish Regulatory & Public Affairs
You’ll be part of of the Danish Regulatory & Public Affairs team where you, together with your colleagues, will monitor and analyse regulatory and energy policy developments, advise on their impact on our Danish portfolio, and engage with key public stakeholders. The team is based in Gentofte and works closely with colleagues across our trading, commercial, and generation organisations, as well as with our EU-facing regulatory teams.

As a team, we succeed as one, care about each other’s development, and use our passion for regulatory insight to support the green transition.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • conducting regulatory and policy analysis related to our existing Danish assets, incl. offshore wind farms, combined heat and power plants, pipeline infrastructure, and power/gas trading
  • monitoring relevant EU regulation and assessing how new and evolving rules affect Danish energy markets and Ørsted’s activities
  • collaborating closely with Trading & Revenue Management, and other business units, to support commercial and operational decisions with timely regulatory insight
  • drafting clear regulatory positions and contributions for current and potential activities, in Denmark and in interaction with EU-level processes
  • engaging with Danish civil servants, authorities, and industry organisations, as well as relevant EU-level institutions

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have a master’s degree in economics, law, or equivalent experience, with an interest in energy economics, regulatory affairs, or regulated markets
  • have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and enjoy working with complex regulatory and market questions
  • communicate clearly and confidently in both Danish and English, adjusting your message to different audiences
  • are comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with colleagues across functions
  • have a curious, explorative mindset, and are keen to learn new regulatory areas, such as gas markets or EU-level mechanisms
  • preferably with a background in a relevant ministry, agency, or similar organisation.
