Regulatory Administrator
The Regulatory Administrator – Compliance & Oversight provides organization-wide leadership and operational support to ensure MIC Medical Imaging meets regulatory and accreditation governance requirements. This role oversees compliance with College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA), Alberta Medical Association (AMA), and Canadian Association of Radiologists (CAR) standards.
The Regulatory Administrator serves as an advisor and coordinator, supporting clinic leaders and modality coordinators while keeping documentation, policies, and quality systems current, audit-ready, and aligned with regulatory requirements. It requires strong attention to detail, a preference for task-driven work, and some flexibility in scheduling.
Reports to: Manager of Safety and Quality
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accreditation & Regulatory Compliance
• Lead and coordinate CPSA and CAR accreditation activities across all MIC clinics, ensuring sustained compliance between accreditation cycles.
• Monitor changes to CPSA, CAR, and other relevant regulatory standards; assess operational impact and communicate practice changes to leadership and clinical teams.
• Coordinate and track all required physicist testing for radiology and mammography equipment; maintain complete, up-to-date records.
• Support CPSA inspections by compiling required documentation, staff credentialing records, radiology quality data, and site-specific submissions.
• Maintain and regularly update the Accreditation Manual, ensuring alignment with current standards and organizational practices.
Quality & Management Systems
• Develop, consolidate, and maintain a Quality Management System (QMS) manual encompassing quality control, quality assurance, incident management, and continuous improvement processes.
• Support quality improvement initiatives, audits, and corrective action tracking related to accreditation, privacy, or regulatory findings.
• Assist with the development, maintenance, and periodic review of disaster response and business continuity documentation appropriate to MIC’s size and service complexity.
Collaboration & Leadership Support
• Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing guidance on accreditation readiness, privacy compliance, and regulatory risk.
• Mentor and support managers and coordinators in understanding and applying accreditation and quality requirements.
• Participate in organizational projects and initiatives related to regulatory compliance, quality, or risk management, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Required
• working knowledge of accreditation processes, documentation control, and audit readiness.
• willingness to learn regulatory and legislative requirements for CPSA facility accreditation, Information Privacy, and/or OH&S education
Preferred
• Background or education in diagnostic imaging or healthcare operations.
• Experience working closely with compliance officers, quality committees, or regulatory bodies.

• Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and influence without formal authority.
• Ability to interpret regulatory standards and translate them into practical, operational guidance.
• High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
• Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic and evolving diagnostic imaging environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Primarily office based with regular travel between clinic location, occasional participation in accreditation reviews, inspections, or after-hours compliance activities
