Job Description

The Role:

  • Contribute to the daily management of the Plastic Surgery patients and clinical activities within the limits specified with your clinical privileges.
  • Broad exposure to Plastic Surgery including operating, emergencies, clinic and the on-call roster.
  • The role is well supported clinically with additional teaching and research opportunities.
  • The welcoming community surrounding the hospital consists of natural scenery garnished with markets, wineries, distilleries and entertaining worldclass outdoor activities.

Details of appointment:

  • Fixed term full time, day worker (with on-call) position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 3 August 2026 until 31 January 2027.
  • You will receive 10 hours of paid, protected training time per fortnight, pro rata.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant

Salary:

Medical Practitioner Level 5 - 11 $134,930 - $189,005 per annum, pro rata + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging

  • Salary range is in accordance with Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022

In addition, the following allowances and benefit, calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Salary packaging options include a range of benefits like living expenses up to $9,010 and $2,650 in meals and entertainment every year
  • Continuing Professional Development Allowance of $3,183 per annum, pro rata
  • Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.
  • Professional development and accelerated pathways.
  • A range of leave entitlements, including study leave and Professional Development Support.
  • Fitness Passport – You, and your family can access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $14.50 per week per person, or $28.05 for a family.
  • other allowances as applicable.
