Registrar | 10228 | Temporary Contract until 23 July 2027 | 37 hours per week | £28,598 to £31,022 per annum (Scale F) | Kings Lynn

We are looking for a full-time temporary maternity cover Registrar to join the Registration Service within Norfolk County Council and help deliver a vital service across the county.

Registrars are there to record all the significant events in life. They register births and deaths and take notices of marriages and civil partnerships. They conduct and register marriages and civil partnerships and offer other associated services.

We need someone to join our team in King's Lynn to ensure this frontline service is delivered to customers effectively and efficiently. In registration there is a lot to learn and retain and we provide thorough training for all the duties.

You will be a quick learner, who can perform well under pressure and at speed and is comfortable working on their own. You will need to adapt well to change and be flexible as the duties may vary from week to week.

The successful candidate may need to travel to offices around the county sometimes at short notice, so will need to hold a current driving licence and have their own transport.

The post includes a regular Saturday with enhanced pay.

Applicants must possess excellent IT skills, spelling and grammar and will need to have good interpersonal skills. Experience in a public facing role within a regulatory framework is essential. You will need to demonstrate a commitment to great customer service and meet our high expectations for service delivery and teamwork.
