Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Registered or Enrolled Nurse with to join our Anaesthetics and PACU team as a part of our exciting new redevelopment at the St. Vincent’s Private Fitzroy campus!

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Exciting opportunity to join the dynamic Anaesthetics and PACU team within the Operating Suite.
  • Work in a brand new, purpose built department within a dynamic team
  • Work alongside a multi-disciplinary team in a range of exciting surgical specialties with state of the art equipment
  • Provide holistic patient care throughout their operative journey, supporting them physically and emotionally from surgery through recovery and the next stages of their care.
  • Full time or Part Time (30 hours/week) on a rotating roster 7 days a week
  • Located in an convenient inner-city location with an exciting location

ABOUT YOU:

  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Bachelor of Nursing (RN) or Medication Endorsed (EN)
  • Previous experience working in Anaesthetics and PACU
  • Demonstrated ability to work within the interdisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise workloads within a dynamic environment
  • Ability to commit to regular on call and night duty

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
