Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) – Aspen Animal Hospital

Are you a Registered Veterinary Technologist looking for a supportive team where you can continue learning, ask questions, and build your skills?

Aspen Animal Hospital is looking for an RVT to join our growing team in southwest Calgary, Alberta. We are a small, collaborative practice with a big range of services, offering many of the same capabilities you would find in a hospital twice our size.

About Aspen Animal Hospital

Since opening our doors in 2010, Aspen Animal Hospital has been committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care to the pets of southwest Calgary.

We are a full-service veterinary clinic offering primary care, emergency medicine, surgery, dentistry, and holistic therapies. Our team includes veterinarians, RVTs, registered veterinary technologists, and support staff who work closely together to provide excellent patient care.

Our approach brings together modern veterinary medicine, advanced technology, and holistic therapies, giving our team exposure to a diverse range of cases and opportunities to explore different areas of veterinary medicine.

Our hospital is equipped with:

  • Digital radiography
  • In-house blood analyzer
  • Ultrasonic dentistry
  • Fully modernized surgical suite
  • A wide range of medical and diagnostic equipment

We see dogs, cats, and pocket pets, creating a varied caseload and plenty of opportunities to continue developing your skills.

The Opportunity

As an RVT at Aspen Animal Hospital, you’ll be an important part of our clinical team and will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced veterinary professionals in a supportive environment.

You can expect to:

  • Provide high-quality nursing and patient care
  • Assist with surgeries, dentistry, and medical procedures
  • Monitor anesthetized and hospitalized patients
  • Perform laboratory and diagnostic procedures
  • Utilize advanced veterinary equipment and technology
  • Support veterinarians with appointments, treatments, and procedures
  • Work with a diverse caseload including dogs, cats, and pocket pets
  • Gain exposure to emergency medicine, surgery, preventative care, and holistic therapies
  • Continue building your clinical knowledge and areas of expertise
  • Ask questions, learn from experienced team members, and take on new challenges
