VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital is seeking a registered veterinary technician to join our team in our internal medicine department. We have expanded our busy internal medicine department. Our technicians are responsible for the technical duties, client communication and patient care related to their role and department.

Responsibilities:

  • All tasks related to inducing, maintain/monitoring, and recovering patients from anesthesia.
  • Assisting Board Certified Internal Medicine doctors in consultations and other patient/client needs.
  • Think analytically through disease process and patient needs.
  • Inspire and teach students and new associates.
  • Ensure documentation is appropriate, thorough, and complete.

Qualifications:

  • Experienced, credentialed technicians are preferred.
  • New graduates must have a strong interest in internal medicine and keen ability to apply knowledge and advance quickly.
